CONSERVATIVES FACE A DECISION IN ARIZONA

4/17/2018

It Seems We are Facing a Dilemma:
Continue fighting the GOP Cabal, or Quit Fighting and Try Another Way?

Picture
It is my understanding that at the last annual meeting of 1200+ Arizona State Committeemen, we had some 384 proxies voting.  So, what’s the point?  We can either fight and lose, or simply quit fighting.  What’s the difference?

This is a contest, largely, between the reigning cabal and conservatives within the party.  As we continue to fight, we continue to lose.  In fact, with cabal supporters carrying 384 proxies in AZ, realistically there can never be any other outcome.  Period.

The RINOs-in-Charge

With Omnibus Spending Bill

Those of us who care about the survival of this nation must take the passage of the Omnibus Spending Bill, this month (March 2018), as a message sent directly to us, by the Uniparty: “You cannot win. We will bury your savior, Trump, and then you.”

It would be a mistake not to take this as a reminder of what we should all have kept in mind–that Trump cannot magically fix everything without the people pushing HARD, in an upward direction, from every one of the 50 states!!

GUEST POST: PHIL LOVAS --  NOT A GOOD CHOICE TO REPLACE TRENT FRANKS

By Randy Miller -- the sixth, in his series of thoughtful articles covering ALL candidates running to replace Trent Franks in the House of Representatives. (See earlier blogs for other Miller posts)

In the AZ Legislature, Lovas Proposed Two Bills-- One Against the 2nd Amendment, One For it...Huh?

Phil Lovas History: He was appointed to a term in 2013, not elected by the people to represent them. In my view, his history has not demonstrated dedication and loyalty.
Picture
Phil Lovas used taxpayer money to run two additional terms and then quit on his commitment to the people during his second elected term to take a job with the federal government that paid more.  Shortly after accepting this, he quits to work on Trump Campaign for Arizona.  Was this a calculated political move?

KEY ENDORSEMENT: REPUBLICAN LIBERTY CAUCUS ENDORSES RICHARD MACK FOR CD8

There could be no better news, today, than the announcement that the Republican Liberty Caucus (RLS) has endorsed former sheriff Richard Mack as the best candidate to succeed Trent Franks in the House of Representatives, for CD8.
It is a ringing endorsement! It underscores all the things so many of us already know about Richard Mack that set him apart from the careerist candidates running against him for this very important House seat.
The National Chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus (RLS), Matt Nye, minced no words, pointing out quite factually that “Sheriff Mack has a proven record of unflinching leadership and standing up against the overreach of bureaucrats in Washington, D.C.”
It's nice, for once, to read an endorsement and know that it is absolutely TRUE!. It gives me real pleasure to read, and reread those statements, by Nye, about Richard Mack as a passionate defender of the Constitution
Mack's famous lawsuit against the government  was, indeed, a passionate defense of the Constitution, one that proved costly for him, personally. If I remember correctly, he lost his position as sheriff, because of it, But he did not flinch. As a serving sheriff, Mack challenged the Brady Bill, a gun-control scheme that required local law enforcement to perform background checks on prospective gun purchasers. Mack stood against it, despite the profound influence Brady had, at the time, having been shot in the head, and rendered infirm for life, during the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan by John Hinckley, Jr..
So what Mack did was, in fact, what a true statesman does: Mack stated in no uncertain terms  that the Federal Government has no authority to command local officials. In so doing, Mack became the first sheriff in American history to sue the Federal Government and win at the US Supreme Court. The case was based on the Tenth Amendment, states’ rights, and local sovereignty.
We could use a few more sheriffs like Mack was. But, for now, let's get this particular sheriff, this statesman, into the House of Representatives. Let's turn him loose on the globalists. We'll see if they can do any better than the attorneys--vanquished by Mack!--who were hired by the feckless, so-called, Deep State, to keep the Brady Bill in force. Voters in CD8 now have the opportunity to send this excellent man to Washington, DC, where he will be one more representative who WILL NOT CAVE to the blandishments of the RINOs--a strange group, in deed, who somehow still think they are in charge. Former Arizona sheriff Richard Mack can be trusted to stand firm, for us, against them.

NEW AZGOP BYLAWS

A 'FLY IN THE OINTMENT' FOR THE "RINOS-IN-CHARGE"

Picture
AZGOP party officers will no longer be able to ignore the bylaws with impunity, if the New Proposed AZGOP Bylaws are passed at the Mandatory Meeting. Simply stated, these new bylaws restore control of the party to the members of the state committee, as originally intended, and prevent leadership from becoming lawless.

Out with the Old, In with the Tried and True
Russell Sias, Chairman of La Paz County, and a co-author of the new revamped bylaws, is slated to address a meeting of the Grassroots Tea Party on Wednesday, December 27th at 6:30pm, at the Denny's at 9030 N Black Canyon Highway in Phoenix, AZ.. He will present and discuss some of the significant and dramatic bylaws changes that he says will go far toward bringing the Arizona Republican Party back to its roots.

The "Official" Bylaws Committee was in Breech of Current Bylaws...
FROM DAY ONE!

Sias states that the “official” AZGOP bylaws committee, named by the current chairman earlier this year, was "in breech of current bylaws from the moment it was formed." Thus, its work product is "not eligible for a vote at the Mandatory Meeting, according to the current bylaws." Only the fully revamped New Proposed AZGOP Bylaws, which were submitted to the Secretary, as stipulated in the current bylaws, are eligible to be voted on by the state committee, which holds its annual meeting January 27, 2018. Throughout this year, Sias raised considerable awareness on problems with the bylaws, by posting about bylaws issues on the Republican Briefs online newsletter, while the revamp was taking place.

Proposed: New Bylaws for AZGOP

La Paz County Chairman Russell Sias today made public a complete revamp of the Arizona Republican Party (AZGOP) Bylaws (Click on AZGOP PROPOSED BYLAWS here or in navigation bar above). It is unusual for one person to perform this arduous task, but Russell did it in order to call attention to the fact that the bylaws amendments the party leadership will present for a vote at January's annual meeting of the party state committee is ineligible for a vote!
Anyone following Arizona Republican Party politics is aware that the Bylaws Committee called by the leadership of the AZGOP has been working throughout 2017 on a series of amendments to the current party bylaws.
What they found out, today, through an item on the newsletter Republican Briefs was that the "official" bylaws committee was formed in contradiction to the current bylaws, and is therefore out of order.
The committee, chaired by RINO Kathie Petsas, has been fraught with controversy from day one. Petsas has insisted on absolute secrecy to all discussions of bylaws changes, whereas this is a process that should be totally transparent. Petsas has even refused to allow committee members--who come from all corners of the state--to share email and phone contact information. She has forbidden them to discuss what goes on in the meetings with anyone--even each other! Petsas also refused to accept the substitute member named by Russell Sias, when he left to work outside Arizona for the summer. When Sias returned, Petsas expelled him from the bylaws committee altogether.
In response, Sias decided to take definitive action to call attention to the fact that the Petsas-run committee was formed in contradiction to the current bylaws, thus its work product is ineligible to be voted on at the annual meeting, in January.  The labor is not lost, as it's long been the conventional wisdom that a revamp is necessary.
To see the proposed revamped bylaws, click on "AZGOP PROPOSED BYLAWS" in the navigation bar above. Russell Sias says he doesn't expect this rewrite to be perfect, as it stands, but sees it as an important starting point. He is anxious to receive your suggestions, in the space below this article. The community of active AZGOP PCs and SCs could certainly use a fullsome discussion of something so important to the functioning of a state party that many agree is currently mired in a horrific state of dysfunction.
